We understand how precious your favorite gadget is to you and how you like to keep it unharmed. Unfortunately accidents can happen anytime causing a damage to your gadget that may cost you a fortune. The average cost of repair depending on the type of gadget and the extent of damage for smartphones, tablets, or laptops might range from AED 200 to AED 800 for minor issues such as screen or battery replacements. More extensive repairs, such as fixing water damage or repairing internal components, can cost significantly more, potentially reaching a couple of thousand dirhams.

What PAPITA CARE+ covers?

Liquid Damage caused to your gadget due to exposure to water, coffee, juice, or other fluids. This can result into short circuits, corrosion, and other forms of damage to internal components such as circuit boards, connectors, and batteries.

Screen Damage or impairment to the display screen of your gadget such as smartphone, tablet, laptop, or camera. The reasons for screen damage may include physical impact, pressure, manufacturing defects or environmental factors.

Accidental Damage is a common cause of gadget failure caused due to unintentional events like drops, spills, impact, or mishandling that can result in a range of issues, from minor cosmetic damage to severe impairment of functionality.

Fire Damage occurring due to electrical malfunctions, external fires, overheating, etc can render electronic devices inoperable or unsafe to use, and in severe cases, it may result in the complete loss of the device and its data.

Malicious Damage including vandalism, tampering, sabotage or cyber attacks can result in financial losses, data breaches, operational disruptions, and security breaches to the extent that it may land you in legal troubles too.

Theft coverage protects against the loss or theft of your gadgets such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. This may include financial compensation or a replacement device if your insured gadget is stolen or unlawfully taken.

How it works?

In an unfortunate event where your gadget gets harmed in one of the ways listed above, we will be happy to help you with a speedy resolution. All you have to do is follow the steps below.

  1. Please visit the customer support link and raise a ticket with the relevant details.
  2. On of our team members will verify the details and contact you promptly to help you with further steps.
  3. You shall have your gadget back in a working condition withing 7 business days or 33 working hours if you have purchased a 33-Hours Express Claims Service.

What is 33-Hours Express Claims?

We also offer a 33-Hours Express Claims Service at a nominal cost of the product price which you can opt for while checking out. If you haven’t opted for it already then you can do it within 72 hours of your purchase by raising a request here.

Terms & Conditions:

This Product Insurance Scheme is brought to you in association with The Oriental Insurance Co. (Ltd) Dubai, UAE and is subject to the following terms and conditions in addition to what is mentioned in the policy document.

  • The 33-Hours Express Claims Service is available only to customers who have explicitly subscribed to the Express Claim Service. The claims would be processed within 33 Business Hours which includes the normal working hours of PAPITA Trading LLC and excludes weekends and public holidays.
  • 33-Hours Express Claims Service can be purchased only at the time of your product purchase or within 72 hours of the product purchase.
  • The processing time for normal claims would be 7-10 business days not counting weekends and public holidays.
  • It is the claimant’s responsibility to deliver the product and pick it back from our store.
